The gas control valve is the heart of stove safety — it regulates gas flow to each burner and, in modern stoves, shuts off gas automatically if the flame goes out. For parts distributors, valve bodies are a high-value, safety-critical category. Here is how to understand the main types.
The simplest design: a rotary knob controls gas flow directly. These are common on basic and older stoves. They are inexpensive and widely compatible, making them a high-volume replacement item in price-sensitive markets.
Push-turn valves require the user to press and hold the knob while turning to ignite, releasing once the flame is stable. This design is standard on many SABAF-system stoves. The extra actuation step is a deliberate safety feature that prevents accidental gas release.
These valves work with a thermocouple to cut the gas supply automatically if the flame is extinguished — the core of modern flame-safety protection. They are the most safety-critical valve type and are increasingly mandated by national standards, driving strong replacement and upgrade demand.
Valve bodies are not optional for your customers — a faulty valve is a serious hazard that must be replaced immediately. THREEMI manufactures rotary, push-turn, and flame-failure valve bodies as part of our complete gas stove parts line. We supply factory-direct at wholesale prices, so you can stock every valve type your market requires.
