Crate vs Carton: What to Choose

• Wooden crates — maximum protection for heavy or delicate components like body panels, glass and burner assemblies. Stackable, reusable, and ideal for high-value or fragile kits.
• Corrugated cartons — lighter, cheaper, and easier to handle for smaller parts like nozzles, thermocouples and caps. Best for kitting individual stations.
• Mixed approach — the most cost-efficient programs use crates for structure and cartons for component kits, packed together for dense container loading.

Moisture: The Silent Destroyer

Sea freight exposes cargo to humidity swings that condense moisture inside containers and packaging. Unprotected steel and brass parts rust, enamel can cloud, and cartons weaken. Moisture control is not optional for a long ocean voyage.
